We're known for our vibrant nightlife and our Broadway Court or business district, which features many well-established bars, restaurants, and other businesses. Alamitos Beach is known for its LGBT community as well as the home of the Toyota Grand Prix, the Long Beach Marathon, and the Long Beach Pride Parade. Alamitos Beach has also been featured in movies and television shows such as The OC, Lethal Weapon, and Dexter.

Alamitos Beach is known as the #12 best neighborhoods to live in and around Long Beach and provides excellent schools, exceptional nightlife, and fantastic diversity with its nearly 11,000 residents. And… Most of those residents are renters. Only 22% of Alamitos Beach residents are homeowners. The community received and #3 for some of the best neighborhoods for young professionals as well.

Schools

Schools in Alamitos Beach are part of the Long Beach Unified School District and students are assigned to the Burbank elementary school, the Franklin Classical middle school, and the Polytechnic high school. The schools are between 1/2 a mile and 1 mile from most homes within the community.
